What is PitRep?

PitRep is our automated safety rating system, that is designed mainly around damage and off-tracks based on the output from Assetto Corsa Competizione and other simulators.

We use this information to determine an automatic safety rating change for each driver after every race based on how many incident points they received and corners driven in the race, it is not used to determine who is at fault in an incident, but rather to determine an average of how many incidents a driver is involved in per corner, so that we can understand based on this where their safety rating should be and what licence class they should be in.

In racing, accidents happen, and this metric is to calculate how often they happen TO YOU, it does not try to calculate who's at fault and the idea is not for it do so, it is a metric to calculate how often YOU are in incidents, and allow for your rating to go up and down based on how many corners on average you do before you are involved in an incident.

How do I increase it?

To gain PitRep, you have to race, it's similar to the ingame system on ACC of "SA (Safety)" in which, you have to be involved in more races, and race clean to increase your safety rating.

Our Recommendations on how to increase your PitRep:

  1. Race Clean, "to finish first, first you have to finish" - Ayrton Senna
  2. Keep it on track, if you run wide and lose a position, don't fight to get it back, just let it go and move on otherwise you might receive incident points from fighting too hard.
  3. TIP: It's sometimes better to concede the position and save your safety rating, than to battle hard to keep a position if you're down on pace and receive incident points.
  4. Finally, longer races allow for you to add a lot more corners and laps to your safety rating without receiving incident points, so if you're struggling to get out of rookies, try entering one of the longest races you're allowed to and driving it clean and safe; it'll be a big boost!
